Here are few of the recipes for some really simple dandruff treatments that can be done easily at home. And to your amusement, all the ingredients are easily available in any common household. So, here are the home remedies for dry hair with dandruff:

Curd and lemon:

Mix some curd (that covers your scalp and length of your hair)with half or one lemon juice (again according to your hair length). Now apply this mixture evenly on your scalp and hair. After about half an hour, wash your hair with a mild shampoo. Repeat this treatment till you notice dandruff on your scalp. After a period of time, you yourself will notice the difference. You will not feel the need to repeat this treatment too frequently. Also, curd will make your hair softer than before and improve the texture a lot.

Those who suffer from frequent coughs and colds should not go for this treatment too frequently or should avoid it if possible. As curd has a cooling effect on your head thereby worsensing the infection.

Dry Tea Leaves:

Take some dry tea leaves and boil them in water. Now strain them and keep the water aside to cool. Take juice of half a lemon and add to it and apply this on your scalp and hair and leave for about an hour. Wash your hair as usual and see the shine it gives to your hair. No trace of dandruff will be there.

Egg white and lemon:

Take one egg white and mix it with the juice of one medium-sized lemon. Now apply this mixture on your scalp and keep for about an hour. Rinse it off but the last rinse should be of a mixture of cider vinegar in water. A very effective home remedy for dry hair or dandruff.

Salt:

Before you shampoo your hair, massage the scalp with salt for a few minutes and then rinse off. After a period of time, you will see that there is no dandruff on your scalp.

Nettle leaves:

Get nearly 2 big spoons of nettle leaves in a large bowl and pour about half a liter of boiling water over the leaves. Now let it cool, and then strain off. And add a tbsp of cider vinegar to the water and apply a little amount of it in the morning and the rest in the evening on your scalp.

Remember do not rinse it off as this will help you to get rid of the chronic dandruff.

Carrots:

Grate the carrots and then apply them to your scalp and leave them for some time. This will prevent dandruff. Wash it off as usual.

Witch-Hazel:

Make a mixture of one tablespoon of each- witch-hazel, lemon juice and cider vinegar. Apply this mixture on your scalp and hair. And keep it for about half an hour and then rinse it off with a mild shampoo. This is really a good home remedy for dandruff.

Olive Oil and Rosemary leaves:

Take one transparent jar and put about 1 cup of olive oil and add one big spoon of rosemary leaves to it. Now put the lid on and keep it under the sunlight for about 2 days.

Now, strain out the leaves and keep the oil aside. Apply this oil once a week to your scalp and hair and see the difference. Also do not forget to do the hot towel treatment for some time and then shampoo as usual. It would be much more effective if you if the application and the hot towel treatment is done at night and washed off in the following morning.

Olive oil and Honey:

Take 3 parts of olive oil and mix it with 1 part honey. Now apply this mixture very well on your scalp and hair. After that, wrap a hot towel over it. Now, shampoo it off after some time. I think this is one of the best home remedies for dry hair or dandruff.
